I have a pair of mating red tailed hawks that have taken up residence in the pine tree in my backyard! They are amazing creatures to watch. I see them mostly in the late afternoons, close to the dinner hour as they cruise back and forth around the trees in my neighborhood.
In Shamanistic symbolism Hawk means:
You are caught up in too many details and need to take a step back for some much needed perspective on the situation. Eliminate distractions. Spend time observing the situation and make quick decisive actions. An important message is coming so pay attention to your surroundings. Be aware of personal or psychic attacks coming your way. Don't try to change the situation, instead, work to go with the flow.
It is good to call on Hawk when:
You are involved in an emotional turmoil and cannot see the way. You are in the middle of an intense project, or if things haven't gone the way you'd expected, you are feeling depressed or psychically attacked.
