Palo Santo incense is a wood material that comes from the Andes mountains. For centuries palo santo has been used by the native peoples of the Andes as well as the Incas and by shamans. It is used as a spiritual tool for purifying and cleansing the body and dwellings in sacred plant and spirit ceremonies. It is also used to guard against and rid space of evil spirits and misfortune. And, it is even used in folk healing for treatment of ailments.
When I have used this particular kind of incense I have found my meditations to be more spiritually vibrant, with a sense of greater connection to life itself. I'm sensitive to smokey smells and cannot usually tolerate regular incense smoke. Palo santo on the other hand has a very sweet smelling scent and I find that the smoke is not acrid to my throat and eyes like most other incense available.
My Palo Santo stock comes from a group who sustainably harvest their palo santo wood from wild fallen trees and branches that have cured in their natural environment for 4 to 10 years before being harvested. In addition, portions of sales go to support the indigenous peoles and their sacred lands of the Andes region.
The palo santo I ordered, in stick and cone form, is now available in my Etsy shop! I'm so excited to offer this special and rare gift to others! Click here to view it in my Etsy shop!
Enjoy! Namaste.

very cool! wonderful idea to use it during the meditation... is there any difference between the corn and stick?
ReplyDeleteBoth cones and sticks have the same effect; helping to bring a person to a deeper peaceful place, the only difference being how long they last- cones last about 10 minutes while sticks can be lit over and over again. Stick burn time can varry due to thickness and length.
